The Personal Information We Collect

You can use financial services online. We'll need you to provide personal information online (such as bank name, bank account number, address, email address, telephone number, fax number, ID number, banking information and customer identification data etc.) In addition, easy by Bank SinoPac will also keep relevant records generated by the server when you browse or enquire on mobile banking (including but not limited to the IP address of your device, the browser you used, the time of using, browsing and clicking information records etc.)


Location-Based Services

In order to provide location-based services on Bank SinoPac’s mobile devices, Bank SinoPac and its partners and licensees may collect, use and share precise location information. Location-based services may use GPS, Bluetooth, IP addresses, with crowd-sourced Wi-Fi hotspots, base station locations and other technologies to determine the approximate location of a device. Unless you provide consent, such location data will be collected anonymously in a format that does not personally identify you and used by Bank SinoPac and its partners and licensees to provide and improve location-based products and services. For example, your device may share geographic location with the application provider when you log in to use the application provider's location services.

Some location-based services provided by Bank SinoPac(such as "Business Locations") require your personal information to function. You can turn off the confirmation of your device's approximate location by not using location-based features and turning off the "Location or Positioning" setting on your device with easy by Bank SinoPac.

You may provide personal information (such as bank name, bank account number, address, email address, phone number, fax number, ID card number, past banking information and customer identification information) when you log in to easy by Bank SinoPac online.

Biometric Login

Verify identity and transaction via easy by Bank SinoPac which built-in biometric features of mobile devices (Touch ID, Face ID, Android biometric feature) for the purpose of providing various digital banking query and transaction features.

Since easy by Bank SinoPac won't save your biometric information, if you would want to change your biometric information, please go to your mobile device's setting for alternation.


How we use your personal information

  1. The personal information we collected allows us to notify you the latest product announcements, software updates and upcoming events from Bank SinoPac, and if you do not wish to be listed on our mailing list, you may opt out at any time by updating your preferences.
  2. We may also use personal information to create, develop, operate, provide and improve our products, services, content and advertisement, or for loss prevention and anti-fraud purposes.
  3. We may use personal information, including your birthday, to verify identity, help identify users, and confirm appropriate services. For instance, we may use your birthday to confirm the age of your Bank SinoPac Mobile Banking ID account holder.
  4. We may use personal information from time to time to send important notices, such as notices about consumption and changes of terms, conditions and policies. Because of the importance of this notification message to your interaction with Bank SinoPac, you cannot unsubscribe from receiving this notification.
  5. We may also use personal information for internal purposes, such as auditing, data analysis and research to improve products, services and customer communications of Bank SinoPac.
  6. If you enter a lucky draw, contest or similar promotion activity, we may also use the information you provide to conduct these activities.

The collection and use of non-personal information

Use of Other Financial Institutions

For business and risk management purposes, the Bank SinoPac may provide the personal information you provide to Joint Credit Information Center, Small & Medium Enterprise Credit Guarantee Fund of Taiwan, Taiwan Clearing House, National Credit Card Center of R.O.C., Financial Information Service Co., Ltd., the person who assigns or participates (or intends to assign or participate) in the Bank SinoPac's debt obligations, or other domestic or foreign financial institutions that collect, process and use the personal information you provide to the Bank in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law, within the scope of their business registration or articles of incorporation, or for specific purposes.


Use of Internet Tracking Tools and Policies

To provide customized marketing information or advertising that meets your needs or interests and tracking its effectiveness, and similar purposes, the Bank SinoPac will use cookies, beacons (Web beacons, Beacon APIs, etc.,) or other similar technology tools (hereinafter collectively referred to as marking tools), either by itself or through our partners, to record, access and collect your online behavior data and location information. If your browser, installed program or device allows it, you may block, delete or disable cookies at any time, for example, by choosing to modify your acceptance level of cookies in your browser settings (setting instructions please refer to following), including accepting all cookies, being notified when cookies are set, and rejecting all cookies. Online behavior data includes information generated by your online behavior when you visit easy by Bank SinoPac, other websites and social media platforms whether linked to easy by Bank SinoPac or not (including but not limited to IP address, cookie ID and its content, unique identifier, domain name, device information, usage time, browser type, language setting, geographic location, operating system, server logs, web search/browsing/click logs and usage patterns and information or similar data obtained by our partners in their name and analyzed and summarized into tags).

The aforementioned online behavioral data will be available to Bank SinoPac, our parent company and its subsidiaries, and any third parties or partners entrusted with the processing of the aforementioned data for the duration of the aforementioned purposes, for collection, processing, international transmission, and use, either domestically or internationally, by automated or non-automated means, but only for the collection, processing, international transmission, and use of non-identifiable personal data at their domestic or international locations without your consent.

Under this circumstance, the Bank SinoPac is not responsible for the conduct of such other websites.

If you choose to reject cookies or other similar technical tools, you may not be able to use some of the personalized services on the Bank SinoPac's website or APP, or participate in some online activities.
